Éclairant is fine dining in an elegant atmosphere. The restaurant takes up the top two (three if you include the rooftop dining in the combination solarium and patio) floors of a restored historical building. Entrance to the restaurant is through the foyer which connects Éclairant with Galerie Montage on the main floor. An elaborate mosaic pattern of dark and light browns highlighted with blacks and darker blues is swirled into the floor tiles. A recessed elevator and slightly curving staircase offer access to Éclairant. There is an accent wall beside the staircase with a vertical waterfall, the water streaming down etched panes of glass into the marble pool to be recycled and begin the cycle anew. Leather couches and arm chairs and cherry carved tables decorate the foyer, as well as ever changing pieces of art that are often available for purchase. The lounge on the second floor, and the dining room on the third, are done in creams and neutrals, teak woods and ash, with the occasional dark panel for contrast. In the dining room Etched glass panels hang from the ceiling and disappear into the taupe carpeted floor; some separate the tables, some are merely decorative, reflecting the white recessed lights that shine through them from the ceiling. There are splashes of Egyptian blue color throughout to break up the possibility of monotony: sprinkled in the carpet, accenting the wood panels, decorating the tables as glass candle holders. The bar and lounge hold the motif, but fetch more colors to the palette. The recessed lights behind the bar are a mixture of blue and red, white and yellow. Colorful bottles line the bar shelf, and a huge mirror hangs at angle over the bar, reflecting the marbleized bar top and the bar area, depending on where one stands to look into the mirror. There is seating here too, and in addition to drinks, starters and light fare is offered to those who wish to dine in the lounge. There is also rooftop dining. The rooftop dining room consists of a solarium in the center with an open air patio surrounding. During good weather, the patio is open for dining. The wait staff dresses formally: servers in crisp white shirts with Egyptian blue bow ties, and slacks (or skirts) to match. Éclairant does not require reservations, but they are suggested to avoid long wait times. However, given its location, clients without reservations are as common as though with and the staff is able to juggle both magnificently. Éclairant offers a Sunday brunch, and a special themed menu for lunch and dinner on Thursdays. The theme is rotated monthly. There are larger rooms within both the dining room and the lounge with double doors that can be easily closed, allowing the rooms to be rented for business meetings, luncheons and private dining parties. The solarium (and patio) are also available for rental. Employees and Affiliates
