The small lobby of the Condessa Motel is dim, the chandelier dusty, with half the bulbs missing or burnt out. The wallpaper here is yellowed from age, peeling at the corners. The rental counter is surrounded by metal fencing, as though the clerk hasn't bothered opening it up for the day, either out of laziness or fear.
